Sherrin discusses a range of issues regarding teachers in our schools: an 8 week course to qualify; teachers need feedback and regular performance reviews in the context of developing appropriate career pathways within education; underperforming teachers need to leave.

Greg Cary talks with Sherrin who passionately discusses the issues facing our teachers today. “We need to find ways to recognise and reward great teachers through improved pay increments that are matched to Key Performance Indicators,” Sherrin explains. She goes to discuss how we need to attract and retain good teachers and through national performance reviews have teachers who are not performing find another source of employment.
