With the recent media focus on bullying, Sherrin discusses some ways to deal with the problem.
Bullies are victims as well and often need help from authorities. The tendency talking about bullying and youth suicide makes the problem harder to deal with.
Principals and teachers need to listen to calls for help that aren't necessarily verbal and gaining a student's trust is important or they may never come forward.
Our society needs to create a culture of coming forward to authorities, instead of the pervasive 'no dobbing' culture now.
